Since Peter Tobin has been linked to two different murders, could he be the killer of another 22 year old Jessie Earl?

Jessie Earl had just finished her final college exams when she disappeared from her Eastbourne bedsit back in 1980.

Her mother Valerie could recalled that Jessie called her last from a payphone to say she was looking forward to coming home for the weekend - but was not heard from again.

After 9 years, Jessie's body was discovered at Beachy Head with her wrists tied by her bra.

"Her purse and glasses were on the bed, she hadn't taken any money with her. We don't know whether someone called for her... whether she was going out to make a phone call" Said her parents.

This murder was likely linked to Peter Tobin because he's house where two dead bodies which happen to be that of two young schoolgirls, Dinah McNicol and Vicky Hamilton, is very close to Eastborne where Jessie's body was found.

The police had earlier said that they were looking at a 30-year span to see whether Peter Tobin is a serial killer. And this span is within the time Jessie Earl was murdered.

Meanwhile, Ian McNicol, the father of teenager Dinah McNicol one of the dead schoolgirls was sited at the former home of murder suspect Peter Tobin to see where his daughter was buried in a makeshift grave.

Police are expected to examine more of Tobin's former homes, although this has not yet been confirmed.

He is known to have lived in several places around the country in the last 40 years: three or four places in Brighton, three or four places in Scotland, and a couple in Hampshire.

Tobin, 61, has appeared in court to be formally charged with the murder of Miss Hamilton, who disappeared 16 years ago in Bathgate, West Lothian.
